Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you, the merchant who installs FraudGuard, and Invizo (“we”, “us” or “our”). FraudGuard is a product of Invizo.

By installing or using FraudGuard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use FraudGuard.

FraudGuard is a Shopify app provided by Invizo.

FraudGuard checks new orders against your fraud rules as they come in. Orders that reach your risk threshold are cancelled, refunded and restocked, and your team can get an email about each one.

The features available to you depend on your plan. Current plans and prices are listed on the FraudGuard pricing page.

To use FraudGuard, you need a Shopify store.

You are responsible for your Shopify account, for keeping your credentials secure, and for the rules and settings you use in FraudGuard.

FraudGuard is free to install and use. If we add paid plans, they will be billed through Shopify, and you are charged only after you approve a plan in Shopify.

When you use FraudGuard, you agree not to:

• Break any law, or Shopify’s terms and policies.
• Process data you do not have the right to use.
• Try to access FraudGuard, our systems or other merchants’ data without permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt FraudGuard, for example by overloading it or introducing malicious code.
• Copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer FraudGuard, except where the law allows it.

FraudGuard works with Shopify, which is provided under its own terms and privacy policy. Those apply to your use of Shopify.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information FraudGuard collects, how we use it and the rights you have.

FraudGuard depends on Shopify, so changes or outages on Shopify can affect it.

We work to keep FraudGuard available and working well, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features over time.

FraudGuard is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, Invizo makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We don’t promise that FraudGuard will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will catch every fraudulent order, or that it will never cancel a legitimate one. Review your rules and FraudGuard’s decisions regularly.

To the extent the law allows, Invizo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of FraudGuard, even if we were told such damages were possible.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims relating to FraudGuard is limited to the amount you paid us for FraudGuard in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

Some places don’t allow these exclusions or limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

You can stop using FraudGuard at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin. Uninstalling removes the app’s access to your store.

Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data when you uninstall.

We may suspend or end your access to FraudGuard if you break these Terms, if your use puts FraudGuard, other merchants or our systems at risk, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

If we make significant changes, we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using FraudGuard after that, the updated Terms apply.
